Spend A Day At The Oyster Festival

Looking for something to do in early September?

Then mark your calendar for the Oyster Festival.

Hosted by the Norwalk Seaport Association September 8-10 at Norwalk Veteran's Park, there is much to see and do such as:

Arts & Crafts Show

When the Oyster Festival began thirty-six years ago, some of the city's top artists displayed their works along Seaview Avenue. Today, juried artists come from across the United States, and they play an integral part in the event. The selection includes oil paintings, decorative pottery, and jewelry in all mediums.

Oyster Pavilion

At the Oyster Pavilion, visitors can see artifacts from the city's oystering history and get up close to local sea creatures in a touch tank.

Main State Entertainment

On Saturday, the celebrity slurp off will be held in front of the main stage. The festival also welcomes musicians who will take to the stage throughout including:

Sacred Fire - Sacred Fire is a new Santana tribute band that's made up of six experienced musicians and singers who know how to play to the crowd. They'll perform all of Santana's hits, and their lively performance is not to be missed.

Desert Highway - Desert Highway is known for playing the music of the Eagles. The six members are studio and concert tour veterans with major recording artists, and their website states that their critically acclaimed performances are a journey through numerous radio hits.

The Oyster Festival is just one of the many events that you can enjoy if you call our Shelton, CT apartment community home. Please contact our friendly representatives to schedule a tour.
